"BOSTON — The Rev. Al Sharpton, who recently urged that radio host Don Imus be fired for making a racially insensitive remark, said in a debate that "those of us who believe in God" will defeat Republican Mitt Romney for the White House. But Sharpton denied he was questioning the Mormon's own belief in God. Rather, the New York Democrat said he was contrasting himself with Christopher Hitchens, the atheist author he was debating at the time. "As for the one Mormon running for office, those who really believe in God will defeat him anyways, so don't worry about that; that's a temporary situation," Sharpton said Monday during a debate with Hitchens at the New York Public Library's Beaux-Arts headquarters." hypocrite! ![]() |

"Romney added that he was willing to believe Sharpton didn't mean to be offensive.
"Perhaps he didn't mean it that way, but the way it came out was inappropriate and wrong," said Romney." --Fox News Did Sharpton give Imus the benefit of the doubt? I don't think so... |

"it's wrong to be bigoted against people based on the color of their skin. But it's totally ok to be bigoted against people based on their religion (or lack thereof)."
Yay for double-standards!

And we should en masse call CBS and demand they put Don Imus back on the air because the only reason they fired him was because Al Sharpton was bitching about the comments he made.

I've asked a few blacks I know if they thought Imus's words were racist and they agree with me that they were not. It was sexist if at best.
Also I don't know how anyone can continue to support Sharpton. The man seems to be suffering from delusions of grandeur.

I am still trying to figure out how "nappy headed hoes" is a racist remark.
Poor "oppressed" people, we should just put them all in one big camp and let them all cry there together. |
