Pat Robertson: God told him about storms, tsunami

And now something to actually talk about....
Quote:
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - In another in a series of notable pronouncements, religious broadcaster Pat Robertson says God told him storms and possibly a tsunami will hit America's coastline this year.

Just so people know, I myself am waiting to see if something happens this year on May 23rd and Aug 2-4 according to the Bible Code. Supposedly, there's going to be a World War starting and the US instituting the draft. (Real predictions!)

I doubt it. According to the Bible Code, Lebanon & Syria were supposed to be at war last year due to the vast amounts of WMD's that Saddam had sent there before we invaded - because I'm sure it would be easy to get the stockpiles out of the country, since we don't monitor with satellites or anything. Pat Robertson is a fucktard - it's easy to say god told you something was going to happen AFTER the fact. Let's see him say something that's in the future. No vague Nostradamus crap either. I want the who, what, when and where.

Yep. He agreed on-air with Jerry Falwell that 9/11 was caused by the "ACLU, abortionists, feminists, gays, and the People For the American way".

Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton may have the advantage in terms of corruption, but Falwell and Robertson sure have the edge in batshit lunacy.

"[The] feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians."

Well he's not too far off base there. Certainly not with the first statement. He should have included the word "radical" to be clear, though.

pat robertson is CRAAAAAZZZZYYY and strange. i think he has a good heart, but man...i can't understand how someoen will use the same breath to say "i am a man of god" and "these people must be killed and/or punished NOW!"

After listening to some of the batshit crazy things he's said, I wonder about his sincerity. In fact, my feelings on most of the televangelists can be summed up by the great Ray Stevens: "Would Jesus wear a Rolex on his television show?"

You'd have fooled me with all those crazy radical feminists backpeddling the entire movement.

Off the top of my head, how about the nutjobs at NOW who defended Clinton despite his OBVIOUS sexual deviance, because he vetoed a ban on partial birth abortion?

um..sexual deviance is not necessarily anti-female.

when i hear someone say he or she is "anti-feminist" it always confuses me. (especially when it comes from a female person.) i'm not sure what bamzilla is acutally "against." equal pay? the right to own property and have a credit card in her name? the right to recieve equal treatment in the courtroom? feminists are the only people who have really worked for those things. i'm inclined to ask her what she's seen or heard. feminism is not a personality trait.

Uh, yeah, this thread has officially been derailed...

Back on topic, isn't there something to keep a blowhard like Robertson gagged? Usually, when someone makes a stupid comment they have the decency to shut up for awhile. What's not stopping him?

I wonder the same thing about some of the nutjobs on here....

(And despite what others who lie awake at night repeat to themselves, I'm not here to silence people from expressing their dumbass opinions. I'm just here to keep the peace.)

Hard to do that when you think of and treat anyone that doesn't agree with your opinion as a dumbass. Someone as delusional as yourself calling anyone is a nutjob is pretty laughable.
